Got absolutely battered today, way overpowered on 3.7m, only lasted half an hour and not one run without crashing. Must remember next time - 4 month lay off and I've forgotten how to sail.

Went out after work yesterday (Tuesday) - the wind dropped whilst I rigged so pootled about for 30 mins then stopped to talk to the one other sailor on the lake and managed to step on a mussel which went straight through my boot and sliced my foot
I washed it out and superglued it up and had another go tonight (wednesday) on 5m in very southerly and got blown around a lot - very gusty. There were 3 or 4 others out on trickster gear - my 10 yr old speed/slalom board only wanted to go at once speed!

lets hope this year is windier!

Forgot to add that to top off a rubbish session I had been kneeling in dog sh*t while I was rigging up, so when I got dressed and set off back to work I could either sit in the van stinking or open the window to let the smell out and freeze.

Bert - Do you actually use super glue, or something specially designed for glueing cuts? I've never tried anything like that but it sounds very handy!

just normal superglue - looked it up on tinternet first - a few sites with shite advice then one which really seemed to know all about it - apparently it was used extensively in Vietnam!
You can get a proper medical version but apparently for skin use i.e. non internal it's OK, you don't get cyanide poisoning...
It stayed on all day and just came off in a little strip in the evening leaving the cut nice & clean etc, I re applied next morning and I could walk around all day on it then once again the glue came off in the evening, now I've left it healing naturally.
