As windy a day as I can remember in a long while - not a day for going for anything new, just a hook in and hold on day - pure survival. Some decent ramps on the tide - sailing from the car park toward Red Rocks. Apparently it was gusting 66 knots by 2:00pm according to Bidston observatory. Had half an hour on the lake after the tide but after the excitement of the estuary it failed to inspire. Note to self - go out and buy a 3.5m sail.
