Rhossey was as big as I'd seen it in a very long time - nearly everyone was launching from the left hand side of the beach and there were waves all over the bay. In the middle there were some real monsters, at least mast high, which were very rewarding if you were prepared to sheet in and go for the gybe. I got right royally mullered a couple of times after not quite making a gybe on some really big faces (the acceleration down them was unbelievable !!)
Big K was getting some fabulous air and Dave was going for forwards - the quality I won't mention 'cos at least he was going for them !
People seemed to be coming in every 5 minutes for a rest - combination of the conditions and 5 weeks or so with very little wind.
All in all a great day bringing into sharp focus my need to get out more and get fit!
