Arrived when there was a gentle breezle blowing, rigged up my biggest kit and had a happy hour planing around the lake, noticing the wind pick up. I was planning on joining the WWW chaps' longboard fun race. Given the stronger than expectected winds, the racing plan changed and the race switched to shortboards. With hindsight, a 9.5, wideboard + 58cm fin were not quite the ideal choice of kit for a Force 4/5 (soon changed down to a 7.5, which I still couldn't hold). So, if any of the WWW guys read this, thanks for making me welcome, and sorry if having a completely out of control nutter in the race fleet was not quite what you planned. Great fun though!
