Thank God. Proper wind again. It was great to get out again, and what a great day for blasting up and down the lake. I started on my Bee 124 with a 7.4, but then the wind picked up and I finally got the chance to try my new (OK, second-hand) 95L board with a 5.5. I was worried I'd struggle with it, but was pretty quickly smitten and began to understand what smaller boards are all about. I even managed a couple of dry gybes on it and came v close to my first planing exit (but failed to exit). So, a big thumbs up to those on this board, + Windy John, who pointed me towards this size of board to change down to. A quick aside. When I saw this sailors log section, I thought 'why the hell would anyone want to spend time reading about others' sessions, or indeed about mine'. Then I had a quick look at the logs, and found it was actually really helpful to find out what others made of a day's conditions and how venues differed. So thanks guys, I think this is a useful addition to the site.
