Works really well on a NW. Good on W & SW. Not so good on a southerly or any easterly - best going to Cockerham or Roa Island in those conditions. Nice waves, nothing too big and very little shore dump. Can be sailed at low water but its a long walk. A few kite surfers around who are pretty competent and considerate.

Time on water varies, usually anything from 2-4 hours but can be longer for hardy folk with the right conditions.

People launch from The Battery pub car park (postcode LA3 1DG). From M6 Lancaster follow signs to Morecambe and then West End. Turn left when you get to the sea front, the pub is at the end of the prom.

Have had a couple of good days here. Easy launch in the right direction, some good ramps and rideable when the tides running. Great view to the lakes when you can see through the rain!
