Southport can provide an easy introduction to wavesailing with the right conditions....
Just north
of the pier in southwesterlys round to west needs a fairly big tide 8.2 +. Nice well spaced swell and waves good for an introduction to wavesailing. But Beware!! Keep an eye out for the tide going out as it does so very quickly! and you will have a long walk back if you fail to notice.
Southport has a good following and there can be as many as 20 sailors out on a good day. Not as many sail at Burbo Bank as it has only recently been discoverd.
Thanks to Paul the info on Southport
