Fraisthorpe, just south of Bridlington, is a popular spot. The beach is signposted off the A165 at F raisthorpe. Parking is in a field next to the beach and costs £1.50 for the day. For that you get grass to rig on, toilets and a burger van. You scramble down a low cliff to reach the beach which is sandy. I've only been there a few times so far, but last time the wind was NE, I was on a 6.2m sail and there were small soft waves (cross on, port tack on the way out). Apparently the waves can be good in stronger winds, particularly from the North. The tide does not go out too far either, at least not when I've been there. Hazards: There was a fair rip along the beach, and I imagine spring high tides are best avoided. There were lots of kites but the windsurfers and kiters generally kept apart - its a very long beach. There are some concrete sea defences at high tide, but these should be easy to avoid.
