This is a sheltered large bay suitable for all levels of windsurfer. Directions : When you reach Haverfordwest take the B4327 towards Dale. Head down many narrow lanes for about 10 miles, then you eventually arrive in the village of Dale. Windsurfing: Directly onshore (NE) you get some chop, cross shore both directions are good. Off shore (SW) can get a bit gusty, but if you sail far out this does not become too much of a problem. The main advantage is that it is safe, shore can be found in all directions if you get into trouble. The water is very clean and generally pretty warm. West Wales Windsurfing operates from this venue and they have a shop if anything breaks or needs replacing. There is a large car park and a grass rigging area. Food: The Griffin Pub in the village provides all your food and drink requirements. There are other pubs in the surrounding villages but it would be hard to beat The Griffin. There is also a cafe next door to the windsurfing shop. Dale is a quiet village there are no banks or petrol stations, so bring your cash and fill your car up at Tescos in Haverfordwest before you arrive. Accommodation: There are plenty of cottages to rent in Dale or the surrounding villages. Try Maloes if you are having problems, this is a larger village. There is also a campsite in Dale situated on Dale Hill farm and a YHA at Marloes. Other things to do: Broadhaven / Newgale - suitable for wavesailing only six miles away. Kitesurfing and surfing/body boarding. Coastal walks - based in Pembrokshire National Park.
