For all you down the line wave heads out there, heres a spot that when it works is pretty awesome. I 'm not telling precisely where it is, but surprise surprise (Stu) is just by a caravan park, south of Brid. Watch out for N thru NW wind and a big low pressure between Scotland & Norway. The LP will drive a pumping swell down the North Sea. You need to time it for tide going out or coming in. You'll be greeted by mast high lines of smoking sets. It generally works 3-4 times a year, but its a genuine big (for us)wave spot. The shorebreak & rip are vicious and the Northerly wind is biting winter/spring, so go prepared with a flask of hot coffee and some warm clothes!!
