Blundlesands. (Burbo Bank Rd. North.) in front of the coastguard station north of Crosby Marina prov
ides a nearby coastal sailing alternative to the flat water blasting of the marine lake.....
Southerlys are good for flat water blastin! Southwest to west typical onshore conditions! Northwesterlys can be very challenging - big and close together!
You don't need a very high tide approx. 8.0mts...and it is advisable to sail it coming in or going out as it hits the sea wall at high tide no chance of landing for about a hour and a half!
Only just discovered, uncrowded sailing can be had even on the good days......
Thanks to Paul for the info on Burbo Bank.

Mersey (Alex dock and the rocks in front of the wind farm) and the amount of really disgusting shit that comes out of there frightens me- I swear that there is a panty liner farm at the bottom (not to mention tampons, nappies and condoms) If you are brave enough to sail the mersey NEVER NEVER NEVER swallow the water.
