SSW facing bay backed by cliffs, 1/2 mile long. There is a village near the Western end. There are some big singular rocks aro
und the low tide mark, from the East end of the sea wall to the village but mainly sandy elsewhere. At high tide rocks are not an issue but 3/4 tide and below, watch out. Parking is difficult in the village near the slip way, from the car park to the beach is a 300m walk through the village. We stayed at the top of the cliff, near a camp site, where there is access down a very steep path. I sailed there in a SE wind and a SSW wind. In the SE wind (15mph) there was a good lot of swell in the centre of the bay, which would have given good jumps in a slighlty stronger wind. In SSW wind (on shore) at high tide there was no wind at the base of the cliff for quite a way, although you could see it out in the bay. Not sailable. In 15 mph SSW wind at low tide there, although the wind is on shore, blasting across the bay and gybing on the small swell was OK. Also see beach guide on Forces-of-nature
