    Welcome to iWindsurf.co.uk
If you are new to the site and wondering what it's all about there's an introduction here - I try to keep the front page free for displaying latest additions to our various sections.  In short this website is an online community or portal aimed primarily at UK windsurfers offering discussion forums, classified adverts, picture gallery, sailors logs, web links and occasional news stories (They're a bit like buses Wink).  This is no soap box and we are not selling anything (although you can buy a T-Shirt) so get stuck in.

Club Vassiliki is a fantastic windsurfing resort that has been operating out of Lefkhada's Vassiliki bay for the last 16 years. The resort is situated in a long bay, stretching from the port to the village with several resteraunts and resorts along the way. One of the things that makes it so unique is the sandbar. For several metres and running in vareious depths along the bay, this sand bar enables beach starts and other manuevers to be practised. The staff are increadiably friendly, and all very competant windsurfers. Accomodation is good, an apartment style complex but with some more secluded accomodation availiable off-site. Despite all this, there are a few bad points. The beach is stoney, and there is little for non-windsurfers to do, unless they are happy lounging by the pool. The emphasis seemed to be on group participation in all aspects of the day, which some people may not like. And as for the wind! A gentle to moderate brezze blows onshore for begginers in the morning, which nearly always swings round toa stiff cross shore in the afternoon, enabling long runs out to sea. Prices for kit hire only are worth looking at: 110 for a week. kit ranges from Neil Prydes and Jp's to Magnums and old cloth sails. This resort is definately worth a visit!

Change to this article: Vass no longer offer kit hire only: you have to stay with them to use their kit.
