Interesting, I have a summer house live about 20 min drive away from Bitez- I have had some awesome days sailing at Bitez over the years. If you go in the summer and you chance upon some windless days (it does happen) it can get pretty hot but then its to be expected in Turkey generally during the summer months. When its windy you don't notice the heat-





Sailing though is pretty awesome when the thermals kick in- many time have I been clinging onto my 5m at warp 10 having the time of my life.





As for the food that was unlucky, I and many others love the Turkish food.





Shame you had a bad time- oh and you even get waves there in the winter! and some mega gales!





see anybody in the area in sept this year again!

I'm heading out in Sept for two weeks to visit friends that live up the river bed behind Bitez.





Great sailing over there and up in Ortakent over at the headland or under the mountain!!!





I heard the Sha Bar has been redesigned... is that true?

not sure about sha bar- used to generally wsurf during the day and then head home in the evenings!
