    Welcome to iWindsurf.co.uk
If you are new to the site and wondering what it's all about there's an introduction here - I try to keep the front page free for displaying latest additions to our various sections.  In short this website is an online community or portal aimed primarily at UK windsurfers offering discussion forums, classified adverts, picture gallery, sailors logs, web links and occasional news stories (They're a bit like buses Wink).  This is no soap box and we are not selling anything (although you can buy a T-Shirt) so get stuck in.

Wirralcam.com logo Following a suggestion by MRG to create a new gallery for webcam images I contacted Steve Cumberlidge of WirralCam for permission which he happily gave us.  I should point out that Steve (or Wirralcam) owns the copyright to all the webcam images and you should seek his approval to use the images for anything like this (don't be frightened to - as long as you give the appropriate recognition, eg a link to his site he'll more than likely be glad of the exposure).
I also took the opportunity to ask him about the new sponsor for his site - apparently a gentleman named Nick Mooney has opened a kite and surf shop called Vortex Extreme in Queen Street in Rhyl.  He is sponsoring the West Kirby Webcam whilst they look for an suitable location in the Rhyl area for a camera.  He  doesn't have a website yet but the holding page at  vortexextreme.com has a contact form.  I've marked Queen Street on our google map page with a marker under Windsurfing Shops.
Steve also informed me that he is hoping to upgrade the West Kirby webcam from a 1 megapixel camera to a 3 megapixel unit with a wider shot at some point in the future - sounds good to me.
