    Welcome to iWindsurf.co.uk
If you are new to the site and wondering what it's all about there's an introduction here - I try to keep the front page free for displaying latest additions to our various sections.  In short this website is an online community or portal aimed primarily at UK windsurfers offering discussion forums, classified adverts, picture gallery, sailors logs, web links and occasional news stories (They're a bit like buses Wink).  This is no soap box and we are not selling anything (although you can buy a T-Shirt) so get stuck in.

Following on from a number of news items on the ongoing struggle between Surf Tech and Sefton council with respect to the redevelopment of Crosby Marina we've just received the following from Neil@Surf Tech "I will be closing the Surf-Tech doors at the Marina for the last time on or about 30th March. The new Surf-Tech will be at 3 Millers Bridge Business Centre, Bootle , Merseyside - Only a mile from the Lake. I am quite excited about the move as although the unit is slightly smaller in floor space, it is much taller. Parking is not a problem and we can be seen from the main Liverpool - Southport road." I'm sure you will all join me in wishing Neil all the very best and I'm sure he'll keep us posted with details of the openeing of the new shop.

Buddha, from what I've heard, Crosby can now be used but there are no official facilities. If the dinghy club is there, they have a key to a portaloo I believe. I'm sure they'd help if desperate, but nothing official, and no changing rooms or showers.

Yes, best of luck to Neil. I also want to know, is the lake (and showers!) even open to windsurfers these days? Not sailed it for years, but with West Kirby closing for repairs I'll consider it. Anybody know? They don't seem to have a web site.

Best of luck to you Neil and if the lake now goes down the pan they only have themselves to blame !!

Best wishes, Neil, in your "new" venture, great that there is still a focal point for windsurfing, and somewhere to go for equipment. Think the resue boat may be a bit far away though!!Can you get a "Kojak" light? Bob.
