Geoff at NWWA & SBA Windsurfing (North West Windsurfing Association) has recently been contacted by Camp America who were looking for Windsurfing Instructors (and all sorts of other instructors) for a wide range of summer camp locations. There is no upper age limit but a minimum age of 18.
Camp Leaders is a cultural exchange company that specialises in sending anyone over the age of 18, who has; - no criminal convictions,
- is up for a challenge,
- is willing to get their hands dirty and who wants to work with children,
out to America to work on a children’s summer camp. "We work with over nine hundred different camps from special needs to co-ed and sleep away. Participants will get the opportunity to work anywhere from New York to L.A. and the sky is the limit on what they do when they get there. We have an unlimited number of placements available for councillors, sports instructors, activity leaders, ropes instructors, horse riding and especially, Lifeguards and water sport instructors. We work closely with each participant to find the camp and the job that would be most suitable for them. At the end of the day, it’s their summer and we want them to have as much of a blast as the children do. Effectively they get paid to play. We arrange everything from the flight to the Visa and while living on camp, staff do not need to worry about food, accommodation or laundry as it is all provided for them. Additionally, staff will receive a minimum of $850 pocket money while there. This works out to around £400-500 depending on the exchange rate. We have a dedicated team based between the Great Britain and the United States working to support each applicant through the entire process and beyond. For more information check us out on line at www.campleaders.com or call us in the office. Every person employed by Camp Leaders has done camp for a minimum of two years, so we know what we are talking about. Join us for the summer of a lifetime in 2007."
