I've finally got round to finding some graph producing code and incorporating it into the sailors logs. As a practice and just to get an understanding of the software and it's capabilities I've done a test page - you can either see it on this test page or click the read more link to see it below.
So far I have produced just one graph - All the logs for each sailor counted and the hours sailed added up. I noticed whilst doing it that some people haven't used the time of session very strictly so that data may be a little out... the top twenty sailors are then shown on the graph.
At the moment if you click on the graph it takes you to the software developers site - if people like the data and will use then I'll purchase a licence and then I could get things working hopefully like click on the username to go to that persons data and see pie charts of their equipment usage etc.
I'm off on holiday for two weeks so no progress for that time but would appreciate any feedback on what stats people would like to see. My initial thoughts are for two sections - one for total stats e.g. pie charts showing top 20 venues sailed by frequency and hrs sailed and another section dedicated to individuals - go into your profile and see pie chart of the sails you use and the boards, where you sail the most, frequency and hrs.
I'll start a forum topic if people would like to say what they'd like I can collate the ideas and start work after hols...
