Isle of Wight.
Plus's, its pretty much south as you can go, so warmer then most places, its an island, clue being in the name, so that means what ever wind direction you should be able to find somewhere suitable to surf. Its got quite a few good beach access places. You can drive point to point in bout 45mins to find best conditions. Queen Victoria loved it here not that that has much to do with it. South of island Compton, Brooke has waves for wave surfing or even for proper surfing, as my mate calls it, i say two hour wait for a twenty foot ride ain't really worth it, we'll never agree on this one.
Theres sheltered bays such as bembridge and sandown with good beach access, mind you it was bit silly today really F6 gusting F7 and 6.4 sail me weak and elderly, Bembridge beach, that is.
Apre surf, Ryde, Newport both buzzing bars, pubs and clubs but calmer bars can be found eg Sandown beach bar, Steamer Inn, Shanklin, Folly , Whippingham with live music. The island girls love "Oveners" as we like to call em down here it helps stops some of this interbreeding which were also famous for.
Back to the windsurfing its a good all round place what ever your style and ability, just go down to the nearest beach and any surfer be it wind or the more patient traditional surfer type will be more than happy to give you their opinion on the best spots, they sure is a friendly bunch down here and if theres one thing a windsurfer loves more than windsurfing it talking a bout windsurfing.
Minus's Ferry Fare unless you travel 3 in the morning or summit crazy like that. But you can't have it all i suppose.
