SW facing beach, picks up swell coming up the Irish Sea. Doesn't get as big as Hells Mouth and the rides are a little shorter. There's also groins to content with in fromt of the promenade; these dissappear at the south end of the beach where there's also a peaky left/right beach bar. For windsurfing a SE or NW are good. Good alternative to Hells Mouth when it (Hells) gets crowded. Best on the dropping tide, look for a swell height of 5" on the Aberporth wavebouy.
