Exmouth is a little sea side town just south of Exeter obviously at the mouth of the river Exe. There is a really healthy watersports community thanks to a good venue and a good windsurfing shop that is easily accesable and faily well stocked. There are two distinct launch spots: the Duck pond is a tidal spot that is about 1km upstream fom the main sea front this will only work at high tide (couple of hours either side) when is is a good spot for all levels of ability as much of the estury is reasonably shallow) the estury is reasonably wide and is similar in feel to the tide at West kirby. I have been told that it will work in all wind directions, though have only sailed it in a North westerly and northerly both of which were very good. Good social scene as a good local turn out, plently of rigging space on grass and local ameneties close. The launch spot is very close to the train station I'll do a seperate review for the beach front as the laptop is low on battery and Last of the Mohicans is just starting! Pictures will follw at some point.
