I have not yet even touched a windsurf board and I am looking to get into the sport. I need information about the training, as obviously I am looking to go on a training course to begin.

However, there seems to be many centres/courses most of which, as you know, are RYA approved. I am travelling to Jersey tomorrow I am cannot seem to find an RYA approved centre, however there are a couple of centres that do a "fast track" course (£100 for 5 hours). If I were to take one of these courses would I be shooting myself in the foot as they are not RYA approved and therefore once back in the UK need to take RYA course from step one again in order to be a member/compentent surfer of a club.
