Foot Cramp 2 Years ago Karma: 3  
I've started to get cramp in my feet when sailing recently. no idea what's started this. any ideas on what might be causing it and how to fix it?

can be lack of potassium (eat a banana)to much caffine, stress or just cold!

I get lower leg cramps after sailing for 2 or 3 hours in the winter, can be very painful and difficult to head back to shore when it cramping so I understand your problem.

You could try moving your straps in board aor out board a little to as that may be causing it a bit but mostly the cold I would have thought !!
Hope it sorts it 's self out for you.

Heres a few things that "www.time-to-run.com" said about cramps. Lack of potassium (like fatboy says), a banana & apple a day could help. Another cause of cramps can be lactic acid in your muscles, calcium supplements and magnesium will help to clear lactic acid built up in your muscles during a session. Also, wearing high heels can cause the cramp (might apply to fatboy!!).

Hi Mark fancy mentioning the high heels !! Fatboy loves them leave him alone LOL
Does not effect his sailing much either

dead right it doesnt effect my sailing (which is crap anyway), as a matter of fact the bigger the better.

I can always be seen blasting the lake in a nice pair of 8" heeled Milano Blaniks, always in black!!!
