Anyone interested - I am a local resident of West Kirby and sometimes sail on the lake.

I'm running the London Marathon this year - April 17th 2005 in aid of the British Lung Foundation. This charity supports research for all aspects of lung disease from asthma to lung cancer and supports 'breatheeasy' groups throughout the country.

If anyone feels that they would like to help the cause then they can sponsor me at the following webpage:-

some facts to ponder:....

On average, 1,400 people die from asthma each year in the UK. This is almost four people per day, or one person every seven hours.

Respiratory disease now kills more people than coronary heart disease that's one in four people in the UK

Lung cancer kills more people than any other type of cancer

It is known as the forgotten disease but lung cancer is a stark reality for 40,000 new patients in the UK every year thats one every 15 minutes

Lung cancer is the most common form of cancer in the world at present

Respiratory problems are the commonest reason for admission to hospital

Thanks for yer time!
