I have had a Spartan 3DPRO-DRY for about a month now and although it is warm ,it's no warmer than the Spartan XTR DRY.

Save yourself some money and buy the XTR DRY and a good neoprene hood/hat ,as about a third of all heat is lost through yar head.

As Phil said ,make sure it's a good fit.As that counts for a lot and Spartan will do custom sizes for an extra 15.

I'M an XL SHORT.Brings up visions of ODD JOB doesn't it.

I take it you''ve tried both personally? If so I will certainly take your advice and go for the XTR Dry.



Stupid question but how do you know if its a good fit? Is this when it is a tight fit everywhere - ie, back, body, legs, arms etc etc.

I had a XTR DRY for three years and I've had a 3D-PRO-DRY for about a month.If it's a good fit it shouldn't be too tight around the shoulders and arms,as this will restrict blood flow.Ohh and make sure the crotch is not by your knees because you'll look even more like a penguin.

I'm an Ex windsurfer,who now Kitesurfs,hence Darkside.

But yes,your right,overall most Windsurfers ,are quite helpful
