Well the kids have finally let me onto the computer - checked the latest wind for tommorow and although Bridlington looks like its going to be spot on I've decieded to go to WK. Will have to be there for 8.00 am to catch the tide and off the water by 10.00 ish (probably frozen stiff by then anyway) so I can get home to do all the last minute christmas stuff (pressy for the missus) coz it looks like I wont have time on Wednesday (SWlys so Rhossy)

Bloody typical though next week looks like a really good week but no chance of getting off work monday or tuesday and if I even mentioned I'd looked at the forcast for thursday or friday we would have a couple of new novelty baubles dangling off the christmas tree !

Here is Borth....I wouldn't exactly call it a secret spot!!!... Even Bjorn Dunkerbeck sailed here earlier this year.

Although, it never gets busy. I'm often the only person on the water.

it is prety good, and as we have a big estuary here as well, we get decent conditions and can sail in any wind direction. It also gets more than its fair share of wind too. Anything with westerly in it works on the sea front, anything with E in it works in the estuary. If E or NE winds are forecast, then you can pretty much guarantee that it will be at least 5 knots stronger in the estuary than anywhere else around here.... I've had days maxed out on 5m sails in the estuary, when just a mile down the road there was no wind at all and smoke was rising vertically from the chimneys!..

Theres loads of info and photos on my website.

Maybe we'll see you here soon.

Al.
