O. k. where to go om Sunday ? I know its early days yet but the forcast is for pretty good wind for Sunday - but Northerlys !
Now if there were constant trade winds blowing SSW at 25-30kts every day I would set up home in a tent on the beach at Rhosneigr, but I ain't going there for a northerly (or any other direction round to SE) so where else to go ?
LLigwy - probably favorite but never realy had a good session there yet.
Llandudno - west shore will be starboard so not really my favoured tack, main beach no idea in a northerly.
Llanfairfechan, Penmaenmawr and Prestatyn - dead onshore so forget them.
WK - tide isnt huge and its early so on the water by 8.00 a.m. (cold and starboard)
Bridlington - hell of a long way and probably even colder.
Borth - no idea (justal if you see this in time - any tips)
So sugestions please.

Hi Ken....
I'll be here (Borth) on Saturday and Sunday, and hope to sail both days. NW's on Saturday which is one of my favourite directions here, and then Northerlies on Sunday which are fine too.... dead crosshore. The best place to launch from in these directions is the Golf Course Car Park, which luckily for me a 100 yds from my house!!!
High Tide on Sunday is around 6.15pm, so we'll be able to sail all day, if we can keep warm enough. I'm not sure who else will be around, I've yet to ask on my forums, but will post there now... Maybe I'll se you here??

The forecast is still looking good for Sunday in terms of wind but the temperature is something else. Theyr is giving -1 for noon on Sunday (Manchester), which I reckon is too cold even with all the winter gear on. Good luck to you guys and let us know how you get on.

Ken.... How about Dinas Dinlle... you didn't mention that one?? I've never sailed it in a dead northerly, but I should imagine it would be OK.
Its not looking quite so northerly now anyway, more W-NW, so Dinas Dinlle would be fine, as will Borth be of course.
Johnmo... It doesn't look too could here. the temps being forecast for here are around 6-8C during the day. Mind you, even minus 1 would be OK. Once you're actually in your suit and on the water its fine.

I have thought of sailing from Benlllech over to Red wharf bay in a Norh ,North Westerly. But you can only do it at low tide, I think.
I serveyed it once, from Benllech beach, coming back from a day at Lligwy and it looked quite promissing.

Well.... Don't know where everyone else ended up, but it was pretty mad here today. 25-30 knots with some monster waves out the back. I was out on my own with a 4.5m. Shame there was no one else to sail with.
The wind has REALLY filled in now that its got dark!!... Maybe more of the same tomorrow.
