Hello, I'm an
"improver" windsurfer (somewhere between a beginner and a true intermediate) and am debating about going for a 10-hour training class at Karpathos (Greece) next week. Am a bit concerned, though, about wind speeds. The latest daily average seemed to be 6 Beaufort/26 knots. From what I understand, that's a pretty tricky speed for anyone other than skilled windsurfers, but the center maintains it's fine for beginners/intermediates. (The lessons are in a bay that's supposedly 1-2 Beaufort slower than the average.) Is that the case? Does anyone have any experience with Karpathos who might have some tips?
