I went down to Rhossy last Thursday and on the way back came across a white Vauxhall Astra behaving very strangely. It would stay at exactly the right speed limit and when coming to a faster section of road would speed up very quickly to achieve this. On closer inspection it had a speed camera picture on its boot and when finally I made it past it I saw it head lights flash as a very fast car went by and the driver was in Police uniform.



I can only deduce from this that it is a roaming speed camera _base_d in a moving car, I saw it between Bangor and Colwyn Bay on the A55 so beware and look for the speed camera sign on the boot.

many thanks for that, the welsh police are notorious for speed trapping. I've got a radar detector which picks up most of these, will let you know if I come across any other "traps". the sun is talking about the govt putting speed detectors in each car today....thank god for speed sailing.
