Hi!

Has anyone got any suggestions on which website gives the best forecast for West Kirby please? I normally use Windguru and check on Wirralcam. Is this the best?

Are there any 'rules of thumb' for West Kirby forecasts people are aware of?

It's a long way to go from Warrington if there's no wind!

Cheers for any advice.

When it's working, the Proudman forecasts tend to be pretty accurate.

http://www.xcweather.co.uk/ lets you see the general wind pattern in the region.

Both the rival Theyr sites (They.tv and They.net) are good. They're sub_script_ion sites though, but they do have a free trial facility.

these days i'm finding xcweather is most accurate

i use xcweather all the time and if its got west in the forecast you can usually add 10 -15 mph more or check out the isle of man forecast which is usually correct for what we get a 12 mph westerly forecast usually means 25 mph +

There is another way.......
Check the webcam, then
Phone Bob in the Hut (Not Bobba the Hut that's Star Wars )
They'll usually give you a good idea of what it's actually like
Prayer is the final alternative like we all did on Sunday.
(Failed miserably)
Don't you just love the M62 from Warrington!
