Hi y'all, thanks for the encouragement....I cant wait!! I think Mistral will get the job of putting up with me for a couple of weeks, and getting some lessons for the wife, as no Dave she is not sailing yet! (no real surprise there though!)
Ken, I have been getting out and have found some belting spots, the wind seems a little less consistant that it used to be up north so I am using my 5.7 far more than my 5m. I have been lazy though and have not had that many serious road trips so have mainly sailed on the south devon coast... Exmouth/ lympston, Dawlish warren which can throw up some massive lumpy swell in a southerly, Thurleston, like Bigbury but a little smaller and less crowded, massive shore dump at high tide though! A real mast breaker! this works well in anything with west in it, Bigbury- nuff said!! found an ace small estury break on the river yealm launching at Wonwell or Mothercombe- absolutley awesome in a southerly with a nice big but very clean breaking wave (had two of the best sessions I have ever had there) There are others but it is past my bedtime!!!
Thanks for all the tips and will be getting a camelbak as 40 degrees is going to be insane.
See y'all soon on the sunny south coast waves!!!
