Teaching/Hire Locations near Preston 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I have a work colleague who has a daughter who is keen to windsurf following a couple of sessions on holiday.
Anyone know of any teaching/hire facilities around the Preston Area ?

Scotsmans Flash @ Poolstock Wigan is an RYA center that does sessions on a Saturday morning 9:30 - 12:00 and Tuesday evenings 5:30 - 8ish during the summer.
Prices are very reasonable I think about a £5 for juniors and kit is provided.
I know it's not Preston but it's only 15 mins down the M6

Most of us in central Lancashire have learned and sailed at Clowbridge. (RVSC)check the website http://ccgi.rvsconline.plus.com/htdocs/
I think theyre doin something for the national windsurfing weekend end of april...
theres also a review in the venues section. Old tom used to sort lessons but he's retired so i dont know what the current situation is.
I also had a few starter sessions at hollingworth res near rochdale, they have a centre.
You can also go on Fairhaven boating lake at lytham if you have kit. its only waist deep. when you progress just pop onto granny's bay next door

Enjoy
