So how does the doppler method work?

I am obviously asking for the enlightenment of the other site users rather than me being in lazy arse mode (as in I can't be bothered to look it up on the Locosys site at the mo')

Good question Ken, I too don't have a clue how doppler work with regards to GPS and speed measurement. Did a quick googie and found this, not sure if it really explains how doppler is used to measure speed tho.

@Andy, I have been advised that GPSAR is compatible with the Mac, therefore run with that.

@Ken, and all, Garmin Foretrex's are still Ok to use.
If buying new though, go for the Navi / Locosys GT11.

Hi Howard yep found that info out in the end mate, as you say they are out of stock until end of March due to model 111 comming out !!
They have said they will Email when available.
Anyone after a Navman M300 boxed mint only used once ?

Hi Andy, yep the GT31 I believe is the next device available.

I see no probs with going for the GT31 tho.

In the meantime if you are down at WK on a good day you can borrow my Foretrex 201, no probs there mate.
