Any one sailed Llanddona, thinking of trying it out over the weekend?

If you mean the East end of Red Wharf Bay, down the very steep windy road by the Owain Glyndywr, yes. Black Van Rick and I had a cracking session there one day when we abandoned Lligwy as too onshore. Only one other windsurfer and a couple of string danglers turned up, despite cracking conditions. Amazing to have such a stunning place almost to ourselves. I've since been back but the conditions were wrong. Fortunately I had my bike with me so I amused myself thrashing up the hill, stopping for a couple of pints and then braking suddenly for cars on the way back down.

One of the top 'secret spots' going. Oops.

Yep ,thats the one. It looks now that the forecast has changed now for Sunday. From which direction was the wind blowing while you were there NW - NE?
Thanks for the reply.

Can't remember the precise direction, but it must have been pretty close to NE as we were sailing out from near the corner of the bay on starboard tack.

I had a funny experience in that pub at the top of the steep road a few years back - I splashed out & ordered a fillet steak!! After about an hour and a half, and a good few scoops later - my long awaited steak arrived - only it had turned into a pork chop!! I questioned the waitress/ buxom barmaid about this transformation & she insisted that it was actually a fillet steak!! (i used to be a meat inspector, so i know my steaks! (no dirty jokes thank you))..
After much discussion, the chef appeared at my table & was adamant that my pork chop was in fact a fillet steak!! It was really quite funny, and quite clearly a pork chop -it even had the bone on, the drunken eejerts at the table next to us were in full agreement too.
The chef started getting quite irate about it, implying I didn't know my pork chops from my elbow, and stuff like that... anyway - after much hoo haa & kerfuffle, I showed him my meat inspector & environmental health officer id.... he then said that if I wasn't happy with my 'fillet steak', I could have my meal for free (still had to pay for my pals dinner tho) - which I did - it was actually quite a tasty pork chop, as far as chops go, especially for free!
