Camping around Crosby 1 Year, 1 Month ago Karma: 0  
Can anyone recommend a campsite (campervan site) close to Crosby Marine Lake. I was thinking of heading over for the first time this weekend and wanted to stay the night. My alternative would be WK, I here that this can be very busy at the weekend but if there is a reasonable site I could give it a go.

hi tim, theres one near west kirby see here http://www.caravanclub.co.uk/Planning+Your+trip/UK+Trips/Site+Search+and+Book/Club+Sites/Site+Detail.htm?csid=WIRRAL+COUNTRY+PARK never stayed there but looks nice, dont think theres one near crosby tho.
Are you a mate of Ronan's n Si Mains from Waters? recognise the name.....

Cheers for the site,
Probably won't make it now though as I have to work Sat morning and yes it is at Waters. Haven't seen Simon for a while though I heard his hitch hiking future had taken a blow.
Don;t suppose you know of anywhere to Sail around Manchester/Cheshire that is closer than the Wirral and any good?

Where are you coming from Tim.
There are a couple of half decent places but if there's any westerly in the wind, WK is well worth the effort

Hi, Coming from South Manchester (Burnage) so not to far from WK really but would like somewhere I could get to a bit more regularly. I have previously only sailed during the summer since I go up to the North Wales coast most summer weekends but would like to continue sailing over the winter this year. Also looking for somewhere where early/intermediate sailors encouraged.
