Killer session at WK yesterday! 1 Year, 4 Months ago Karma: 5
Anybody who wasn't out yesterday missed a classic!

4.5 - 5.0 sails on the lake for a few hours, followed by the extremely rare tide conditions of SW winds pushing swell, then swinging N for some cross shore jumping fun on the unusually big ramps. Even enough for a bottom turn or two!

One poor chap managed to snap his board in two after some super vertical jumps, and unfortunately lost the back half of his board and his rig to the elements.

Nice work dude..

scuppered yesterday but great session at cockerham sands (nr Glasson dock, lancs.) on Thursday last week. been wearing out me 5.3 & 4.7 sails there this summer.
Anything from SW TO NW produces decent bump & jump. sometimes head high rollers down the channel & decent waves in the adjoining bays. works in any tide over 7.5m!
10 sailors & a kite on
Free parking & nice views (if you are interested in heysham power station)

has anyone sailed at Leasowe, its a bit shorter drive for me?

Yeah, really good afternoon. Surprised at how knackered I was after a flat water session.
The free_style_ crew were putting on a great show at the top end of the lake, vulcans spocks flat water forwards the lot, brilliant stuff.
Then the tide turned up some really nice ramps. Just starting to get to grips with the starboard jumping, jeeez it's hard work, feel like a beginer again.

The whole starboard jumping thing was pretty wierd!

I don't know the guys name who lost his gear, he said he was from Chester and just moved to the area. At least he had less gear to unpack when he got home, poor guy. Tim the lifeguard told me today they found the back half of his board behind Little Eye, but no sign of the rig yet.
