Got to get wet soon! 1 Year, 6 Months ago Karma: 15
I'm rapidly going nuts with not having thrown myself about in the sea for so long!
Given the current bout of nice (but windless) weather, I'm planning to go up to the cable waterski tow at rother valley in sheffield again - one day next week if its nice weather.
Probably aiming to get there for about 11am, and ripping until 4 or 5. Approx cost £40.00 for the full day, which will more than satisfy my need for an adrenaline fix/ arm lengthening.

Anyone else interested? I'm _base_d in Stockport & dont mind car share if you want? The more the merrier.

I'm also looking at a rip round the bike track at Llandegla one day in the week soon. Who fancies that also?

alreet shawn, i'll be up for the tow in if i'm not working. Tho i may be donning a helmet after my windsurfing efforts in Maui, first blast out huge wipeout straight through the sail and somehow ended up with a mast in the face = $300 doctors bill for stitches to the head, $70 sail repair and 4 days off the water ! Plus pissed off missus as i look like i've done 5 rounds with Mike Tyson in a lot of our photo's. Tit!
Lets know when your going.

cheers
mat

Hi Sean, not wanting to rub it in too much but, a few of us had a monster sesh at Newboro yesterday.
S.S.E 25-30 knots.Four kiters and one windsurfer out.

The only downside was, I was in on twelve hour nights after it

I went to the cable park a few weeks ago and had a great day.I dont know if you've been before, but the guy said best time to go is midweek when it's cloudy. That's when we went.We where out all day with about six other people and I think it cost £26 for the day.Great value if you ask me.
Apparently if you go at the weekend it gets really busy and you end up queueing to go on and maybe only get about three runs in an hour, whereas we could go as long as we liked.

P.S just got back from El Gouna in Egypt.6 days out of seven it was 25 knots .Kiters heaven and on the last day I did a downwinder and found a Club Med hotel that had a deep water channel in front of it and was popular with Windsurfers [ they rented equipment].Imagine, a three mile straight run,Port tack, relatively flat water and twenty five knots everyday.Awful eh

Not sure of the quality of their hotel , we stayed at the Movenpick which is up the road and fantastic.
