when discussing the hi-ho plan, the issue of safety was one that was raised, i.e we would need a couple of ribs to accompany to see that all participants were safe, and to cover things like kit breakages. It may not be required but I think it would be daft not to have it to hand... not so sure that insurance would be a problem, perhaps signing a disclaimer is more likely!
There is also the problem that when the conditions are good to have a last minute event, it is likely to be in the week when not many people can duck out of work..
I think I might just do the hi-ho with a bunch of idiots who are willing to chance the crossing spur of the moment, perhaps giving the lifeboat a phone call.. (but dont tell my wife I said that!

) Anyone got any better ideas?
I reckon essentially the problem is that windsurfing is not a team sport, so we are not used to structuring things, we are more likely to turn up and blast around independently for a few hours and then go home.....
