At the mo we have a battle between the GFS Model data and the UKMO model data.
The GFS data is showing nothing - the low pressure travelling up thru' Ireland appears to split in two, causing the isobars to widden thus less pressure differential and less wind.
The UK MO shows the lp deepening (intensifying) as it approaches the uk, but maintains its shape as one pressure centre - the isobars are tight on it's eastern and southern flank ie. strong s'ly - sw'ly going w'ly pm. Hence the preferred Metoffice / BBC forecast
Here are the _link_s (hope they have'nt changed since I last looked)
HOWEVER in the past I have travelled over to WK _base_d on MetO and BBC forecasts and the wind has not turned up.
_link_s: (see wind for tomorrow am thru pm & also check the pressure charts) When the wind is from the west the forecast for the nwales coast is usually spot on for WK)
