Hi.
I live in Blackpool & sail mainly at Grannys Bay at Fairhaven. Can only be sailed at high tide (2hrs either side of high tide). Good grassed area for rigging up. Other venue for good bump n jump conditions is the beach terrace cafe area. Park on coucil car park. Can only be sailed at 30ft tide or above tho. Nice sandy beach (bit muddy at grannys)& shallow for ages, so good for winter sailing. At other states of tide, the best venue is seafield Rd at lytham. Park on access road by the shrimping tractors. Beware of currents at this venue.
All the above work in any wind direction except northerlies.
PS. Big high tide this Sun, so hopefully will be out ont water!

If anyone is going out in the near future, can you please pm me. Would be nice to meet up with fellow windsurfers, as I haven't found too many in this part of the world to date! Although most of my kit is in the north of scotland, if its possible to meet up on a regular basis throughout the year I will re-locate what I need.
Thanks
Widge

You should also check out Cockerham Sands it's not far from Fleetwood and a great spot. You'll regularly find 10+ windsurfers out at the weekend, it's sailed regularly during the week too.

Its to the SW of Glasson Dock. This is the route I take: M6 North Exit 33 - take the first exit on the roundabout (Preston Lancaster Road (A6)) After 2000yd, turn right to enter Cockerham Road After 2800yd, turn right to enter Main Street (B5272) After 550yd, turn right to enter Lancaster Road (A588) After 120yd, turn left on Lancaster Road (A588) After 2500yd, turn left to enter Moss Lane Turn right to enter Slack Lane If you reach the caravan park you've missed your right turn & gone too far. Theres a small car parck just past the white house.
