Good to see Dave White back at WK today. Not sure what times he posted but he looked quick. Also a contingent of Dutch speed sailors out today clocking some very credible times.

Congratulation to Neil on cracking 40 knots today. Windy John and Steve Thorp also out. Not sure of their times.

I have posted some pictures on the upload gallery (at the end) - apologies for the poor quality, it was getting dark and difficult not to get blurring with my instamatic.

Neil, what a great day, new kitchen & new PB over 40k, well done (I'm never going to catch you now). I'm not sure what our lads where doing, but rumour has it that Martin Van Muir (Holland) did v-max 49k on a 4.2m.
I cant believe that I buggered off home early and missed the winds "again". I waited at WK from 10am till 2.30pm (I should have gone down in the afternoon) and the winds where to strong, upto 75k (not seen it that windy before at WK). Get fed up after nearly a 5-hour wait and went home for a sheppards pie instead, bad call.

I can also add my Congratulations to Neil.

If you'll excuse my french, it must take some balls to go out on a day like today.

Neil has definately got the talent and the balls.

We're right behind you Neil - usually about 10 knots slower in my case.

I reckon he could do with a nice new sponsorship deal from either Fanatic/F2 and Tushingham/Naish/KA Sails.

Another good day for west kirby - certainly looks like everyone wants to sail here .

The conditions were starting to drop when I got on the water, bloddy kitchen delivers. Martin van Meurs had aready done his 49 knot run, this could turn out to be the first 50 knots 2 sec data.

I had I really good sail and it was nice to see the dutch Guys, Dave White and Steve Thorpe at West Kirby.

Thanks must go to Windy John, as he made my mind up to go out and which sail to use.

The next step is 40+ knots over 500m.

had afew hours down at wk today watching inbetween jobs

have to say steve thorpe is an oustanding sailor and was just playing about on a 3.7m and wave board throwing planing flat water forwards for a laugh also all that freestyle nonsense sailed with him in the waves as well and he rips there too

impressed with dave whites sail and body 360 mid gybe on his speed kit very nimble for a big lad on a tiny speed board

it was nice to see the lads from overseas there too

a very pleasant afternoon

Shame the web cam wasn't up today, would have been nice to look in now and again with not being able to get out. Was it mad busy or was it just for crazy speed merchants?
