Quote:I have a couple of old (7 years) booms. The clamps are too big to grip my new masts.
They will close enough to touch the mast but even when adjusted to the smallest setting they will not grip enough to use.
I would appreciate advice ( apart from the obvious buy a new boom)
Adaptors, tape, some sort of packing material ???
thanks in advance No problem Sockgoblin!!! As long as it is not the new 'skinny' type mast, I have a plastic mast protector that you can have F.O.C. this should take up the last bit of play.I can also let you have some 2mm. rubber packing that sticks onto the inside of the protector if you want to let off some of the adjustment
from the boom. Send me a private message so I can get it to you if you want it.Hope that helps, nick.
