Hi everyone, I'm basically a total novice and I've been trying to teach myself windsurfing for a few weeks (although in that time I've only actually found time to go twice...)

I've been using an old Mistral Pandera board, which is very buoyant, but I don't feel very stable when uphauling etc, and having looked into it a bit, I think it's actually quite narrow for a beginner. The Pandera is around 70cm wide, and I've now realised that modern beginner boards can be anywhere up to 100cm wide.

I was just wondering how much of a difference the width makes to stability, and how much easier I'd be finding things if I was to get hold of a wider board.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated, cheers.
