Skill level? 1 Year ago Karma: 0
I am slightly confused as to what level/stage of windsurfing I am upto as i see lots of posts and read a lot of mags saying early intermediate/late intermediate, advanced and improver. My skills i have learnt so far in about 12months are I am able to get on the plane harness & comfortably, learning to use straps and having success, waterstarting 80% of the time, beachstarting nearly all the time, tacking ok could be more polished! Gybing not so good! Normally sail in force 3-4 winds.
Other reason i ask is im looking to upgrade some of my kit as im on an 155lt starboard which seems to lift alot with my 85kg when the wind gets up!

I would say mid to late intermediate, and good progress for only 12 months. I think you should be able to drop down to a 100 - 120 ltr freeride board quite easilly.

I agree with Ken as usual (waves @ Ken - it's been a while matey) - you'd have much more fum on a smaller board once the winds up.
