Hi Could anyone help my mast has been stuck together for a while now I have tried two of us pulling either side but its well and truly stuck. Any ideas?
Also will the mast deteriorate faster stored outside? I keep getting hair like splinters off it and think its on its way out!

Usual methods are: Attach two booms (one either side of the joint) and twist Support across two benches, walls whatever and bend the middle up and down (sticking a hose in the end to flush out any cr@p helps Sometimes takes a while

The Boom trick has always worked for me....however< I would be concerned about the splinters coming off the mast, is it an old epoxy 100% fibreglass mast, in which case I would say it is on the way out!! Sorry!

The Boom trick worked perfectly with 3 of us last night at West Kirby. The mast is only 2 or 3 years old! I think I will have to ask Father Christmas for a new one.
