Nice one - but is it something anyone can just have a go at or do you need to get involved with clubs and things ?
where do you row ?
I once tried it in Victoria Dock in Birkenhead - it didn't inspire me much !
I've seen a lot of people rowing on the Dee at Chester and it looks quite civilised.

Well Yea, gone are the days of The Upper Class snobbery, in the sport, and it is becoming so much more open to anyone, which is good for the sport! It is very club based, but that is where you get the best tuition and its low cost, well compared to doing RYA stuff as it is all amature, quite nice in the summer if your on the river. But if you have grown a large habbit at chucking yourself at large waves, and seeing what happens like me, and swimming in the water at Sennen with dolphin than No its not the sport for you, but i did it sooo, much as a kid, from the age of 10, i felt i needed a change, but still do it to keep me fit, and it tones you where you want it too. But hey pop down your local club and give it a try!
