I bought a tribord boom a few weeks ago ( bargain 60) from the decathlon shop in stockport. They had loads of kit and it was all at least a third cheaper than anywhere else I had seen, the boom is fine in quality but can anyone vouch for the sails which are 115 new (damn sight cheaper than all other brands) but are they any good? they are a slightly funny shape in that the top of the sail is skinnier than usual. There are never any tests in the mags which include the tribord kit, can anyone help? are they a bargain or cheap for a reason??

I broke a 4.7 and the only thing i had in the garage was a really old bic 4.7 that comes as a package. I put my knees through it within about ten minutes. If you only have 115 i suggest you buy a second hand sail. You can pick them up cheap and they will last longer than a new shit sail.

Hi Sim,
I've seen Triboard Sails- they're very old designs (as you've noticed) and the build quality is light.
I'd probably go along with Markp's sentiments. I'd certainly expect an older 'branded' sail to last longer than a new budget sail.

I agree with Ernie on the sails, however everything else they've got seems really good quality and value.
I go there fairly regularly for cycling and walking stuff - they often have their own brand of goods which are just as good but half the price of branded stuff.
For all te sports they cover though I'd say they don't do 'high end' stuff, if you want anything a bit special you need to go to a specialist shop.....
