choosing freeride sail 6 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi, everyone.
I have to choose between Loft's O2 and North's Natural and Vandal Venture freeride sails.
Natural i can buy for a near half a price because it's 2011 model, lofts are 2012.
I am beginner - it's my second season windsurfing, i am not sure how to choose between
brands, and what's the benefits choosing one or another.
thank you!

Difficult, because so much is subjective. Check out http://www.boardseekermag.com/windsurfing-equipment-tests/test-index.html for comparative reviews on gear. What size are you looking at?

It will be useful for me, if i have one 5.0-5.2 wave/freestyle for stronger winds in Turkey and Greece, and one freeride/slalom 6.5-6.7m2 for Bulgarian usual wind conditions.
What about the Severn's Gator and Mojo - any experience with these?
Thanks again.

The Gator is a really nice sail, a couple of my friends have the 6.5 (ish) and it feels really nice. If you are looking for something 5.8 ish think about the North Duke (Great all round sail) or the X-Type for a more freeride bias. NP Hellcats are also good and you can get some good deals on "old" new stuff. Bottom line is try to get to demos days - see if any of your mates can let you try their stuff - and in another 12 months you'll probably want to upgrade anyway - so don't spend a fortune ubtil you really know what you are after. Good Luck.
