parking question... 11 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi folks, just a quick question...

I hit west Kirby today and wondered if you could park on the car park and use the tide for free?

Cheers

Yeah thought so. I only wanted to go on the tide as hadn't much time but the guy insisted I pay a lake licence.... I don't mind paying, I've been coming to west Kirby for three years and have always payed my dues no fuss, just wasn't sure I should be paying a lake fee to park and use the tide. Oh well not to worry, I was glad of the shower afterwards!

Cheers

DO NOT park in Morrisons they have a warden and will fine you! If you go down Riversdale Rd, its the next road along from Dee Lane where the Morrison's is, you can usually find a space on the prom then you can rig on the beach.

I think the official line is that the car park is for lake license holders only, they might therefore insist you cough up.
However, I've not been for a few years, but usually (back in the day) if it was quiet they would let you in for nowt to sail on the tide.
