Well hello all ,just been looking at windguru and cam across somethinbg very interesting for saturday an it goes a little something like this:

Ummm... my wind guru sez 8 kts.... maybe they just cant decide...

A bit far off yet, but something is lurking out in the atlantic for the end of next week. check out http://magicseaweed.com/. Long term forecasts are a bit hit and miss at this early stage.

Last time I remember a sub 950mb depression was back in the late 80's, when we were down at WK contemplating how to rig up without being blown off the carpark, in winds gusting upto 70knts! The lake was a complete white out, managed to crawl down the wall on all fours to take some shots (photos) of the speed course - awesome
